Our Story

A 65-year family bakery.

Sander's Kosher Bake Shoppe was founded in Brooklyn in 1959. Two generations later, the Sander family opened a second location in Monsey in 2018, bringing the same recipes, the same ovens, and the same early-morning schedule.

In 2022, New York State recognized Sander's with the Empire Award for decades of service to the kosher community, the kind of recognition that's earned one customer at a time, not applied for.

What the awards don't capture is how the counter actually works: customers greeted by name, a fresh tray coming out every few minutes, and a staff that treats every order, from a single rugelach to a Bar Mitzvah cake, like it's the only one that matters.

Things to know.

Do you take custom cake orders?

Yes, rainbow, Napoleon, mousse, tiered cakes, anything. Please give us at least 48 hours' notice. Call (845) 366-3100 to place a custom order.

Do you have sugar-free options?

Yes, one of the largest kosher sugar-free pastry lines in the tri-state. Ask the counter for what's available that day.

When is the best time to come for Shabbos?

Thursdays and Fridays. We bake challah, babka, and rugelach all day. Come early on Friday for the freshest selection.

Are you open Saturday?

No, we're closed for Shabbos. We reopen Sunday at 8:30am.

Can I order by phone?

Yes, call (845) 366-3100 for pre-orders, custom cakes, and large Shabbos orders.

Are you the same as the Brooklyn location?

Yes, same family, same recipes. The Monsey location opened in 2018. The original Brooklyn shop has been running since 1959.
